Lean Management in focus for the new plant manager

With our new plant manager, we are set to achieve even more scalable processes through Lean and process optimisation. Hans Gundtoft joins us after holding a position at Grundfos, and he possesses a wide range of qualities and strong skills that will strengthen our organisation at Wila.

To continue our efforts and focus on the development and optimisation of scalable processes, a new plant manager has now been hired.

“Our international expansion and presence has been made possible by staying loyal to Wila’s DNA for 25 years and at the same time build on our commercial strengths. One of the cornerstones of our further strategy is, also in the future, to ensure products of the right quality, delivered with the industry’s highest delivery reliability,” says CEO Ilhami Alici.

The new plant manager has extensive experience in Lean management

Hans Gundtoft, a 40-year-old civil engineer, was the natural choice among the applicants for the position. He has held similar positions at the chemical company Haldor Topsøe in Frederikssund and Grundfos in Bjerringbro. And he is highly skilled in Lean management.

“I have worked as a Lean coach, and Lean management has been an essential component of all the professional positions I have held in the past ten years. Lean management is a brilliant work tool that both optimises processes and improves the working environment, and I know that Wila A/S is already well on its way. Among my core tasks will be to get us to the finish line in that field,” says Hans Gundtoft.

However, Hans Gundtoft is much more than a Lean specialist. In his previous work as production manager at Grundfos, he has, among other things, solid practical and theoretical experience in production and quality management. Qualities that Wila looks forward to benefitting from.

All professional skills in play

The new plant manager is looking forward to getting started with his major new undertaking.

“Getting a grip of all the relations is demanding – the company culture and experiences – while at the same time helping to push production forward towards the next level. Naturally, all in close cooperation with Wila’s many skilled employees. But I am ready to add a lot of positive energy to the task and bring all my skills into play.”

Hans Gundtoft will assume his new position on 3 October.

“At Wila A/S, we have a dedicated and skilled staff who perform all tasks with common sense, great professionalism, pride and expertise.”
