In the food production, it is almost inevitable to use tubular heat exchangers in different manufacturing processes. One of the advantages of a tubular heat exchanger as opposed to a plate heat exchanger is that they have a less pressure drop, thus conserving energy in the production. “When the process liquid needs cooling, part of the energy can be reclaimed; however, it often requires a large heat transmission plate.
