Wila A/S appoints new CEO

As part of Wila’s desire to strengthen the management team and bring new skills into play, Ilhami Alici has been appointed CEO of Wila A/S. The new CEO will take up the position on Friday, November 1, 2019.

Founder and owner, Lars Lauridsen, continues in a newly created position as sales director. Lars will contribute to Wila’s continued growth by focusing his efforts on product development and sales.

It has been a long process both with the expansion of the ownership circle in the spring and now with finding the right CEO, so now I look forward to focusing my efforts on what I am truly passionate about. Namely, the development of our products and the contact with the customers,” says Lars Lauridsen.

Ilhami Alici comes from a position as Deputy Managing Director at Damstahl A/S and thus brings both managerial skills and in-depth knowledge of the steel industry. “I want to thank Lars Lauridsen and Jette Wittrup as well as Chairman of the Board Poul Erik Schou-Pedersen and Industri Udvikling for showing me the confidence to appoint me new CEO of Wila. lhami Alici, 46, has several years of experience in business development and has worked for the stainless steel wholesaler Damstahl a/s for the past 12 years. Of which for the past 3 years as Deputy CEO. In addition, Ilhami has a solid educational background as a civil engineer and MBA.
