This year, Wila had three apprentices, Jacob Overgaard, Patrick Walsh Gabel, and Liam Hansen, who was invited to receive recognition for their hard work and dedication to their craft. “We are proud to have three apprentices who have earned the opportunity to receive a mayoral handshake. It’s a testament to their commitment to learning and developing skills,” says Tom Jensen.

Supporting the local apprentice network

Wila’s tradition of offering apprenticeships and supporting initiatives relevant to apprentices has led to a strong partnership with the local apprentice network in Silkeborg. The network, created by Silkeborg Business, aims to make it more attractive for young people to become apprentices in the craft trades in Silkeborg.

“We believe in investing in young people and their education. Supporting initiatives like the apprentice network and providing apprenticeships is a way for us to give back to the community and help pass on our values to the next generation of skilled workers”
